About me

Everything I am good at, I became good at on purpose.

The numbers on the other page are the part a hiring manager can check. This page is the part that explains them.

I am not naturally gifted at any of this. What I have is a tolerance for repetition that most people do not, built somewhere between five o'clock alarms, two marathons and a lot of cold calls that went nowhere before the ones that did not.

I wanted to work in design before I found my love for sales. It is why this site looks the way it does rather than like a template.

01  /  Why I do this

The short answer

To raise the standard people set for themselves, so that they get what they are capable of instead of what they have settled for.

In practiceI hold myself to it first. I pay for my own coaching, I train before work and in October I am moving to a city where I know nobody. Standards are the one thing anyone can move. Most people never try.

02

Outside of work

Different scoreboard, same habits

How I train is how I sell.

01The gym

Five mornings a week, first thing, before anything else gets a say. Every set, every rep and every weight logged, so I always know what I lifted last time and exactly what I have to beat.

I run a pipeline the same way. Every account, every touch and every outcome tracked, so I know what is working and where the next call has to go rather than guessing at it.

02Endurance

Two marathons, both run to raise money rather than for a time. Hyrox now, an Ironman 70.3 next. None of it pays off on the day you start.

Outbound works the same way. Most of what I send today lands weeks later, so I keep going through the stretch where nothing is happening yet.

03Fly half

The position that decides where the play goes, in real time, with fourteen people waiting on the call. Get it wrong and everyone sees it.

That is a sales meeting. Read the room, pick a direction and commit before the moment passes, then own whichever way it lands.
